An Online Christmas Greeting

Hello to all our family and friends!!! I need to apologize but this will have to be our "Christmas card" for now..... We have decided to move into a different rental and yes we have to do it this month in order to have the right length lease. We are crazy I know but it is a 3/2 house with a yard for the boys for less than our condo!!! PTL
I will post some pics when I can.
We want to send hugs to all and wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas

Preschool Play

Grant did a great job this morning. He knew all the words and motions. He is such a big boy!

Santa!!!!!!!!!

Grant was so excited he could hardly stand it..... He drew a special picture just for Santa. We only have one problem he keeps changing his Santa list which is not very helpful.

Family Christmas Pictures

We tried to take our own pictures of the boys a few nights ago, all I can say is it was crazy (Gavin bumped his head twice, Grant was crying and mommy was yelling one minute and saying smile the next!) Maybe it worth paying the people at the mall :)

Getting the Tree

We had a new experience while trying to find a tree this year.... Our first stop was a cut your own place, as we pulled in we saw they had arborvitae bushes shaped as Christmas trees.... on the other side of the lane were some white pines but they were pruned into perfect triangles which were to dense to hang ornaments on. We ended up at Home Depot (thanks to the advice of a friend) and got a 6 foot Frasier for $20.00. The weirdest part of it all was that it was warm enough to wear shorts :)

Grant's Thanksgiving "Feast"

Grant is having a great time at preschool. Today they had a entire school feast. They had muffins and butter that the children had helped make. I keep trying to convince Grant Thanksgiving has not come yet. He is pretty sure it is now time for Christmas and all the displays at the stores are not helping. :)

Nocho De Gala

Ben and I had a great time at a local hospital charity fundraising event. Friends of ours hosted table and invited us to join them. It was beautiful despite the cold evening. The event was to benefit the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation (www.SebastianFerrero.org) Which was created after the tragic loss of their son due to a medical error (overdose). The family decided to start a foundation to raise money to build a children's hospital in Gainesville. Ben and I experienced first hand how much a children's hospital is needed when Gavin was sick. Shands is just too crowded, there is not enough room to treat all those who need care. We had a wonderful time being "Grown Up" for a night

Halloween in Raleigh

We had a great Halloween weekend!!! We traveled to Raleigh and stayed with our friends the Tettertons across the street from our old house. Grant was Jack Sparrow, Gavin was a pumpkin and Ian was Indiana Jones. It was wonderful to be back and very surreal. We spent the whole weekend visiting with friends... Grant has a great time and cried as we left Monday morning (he thinks it would be great if we could live with Ian all the time)... I think the greatest gift and challenge of moving over the past six years is all the friends we have made in each place and how much we miss them when we have to move. I pray God brings us to a more settled season of life soon.

Pumpkin Fun

Grant had a fun time creating his pumpkin pirate!!! I must confess one of the things I love about having two boys is coordinating their outfits.... I love to find matching clothes in their sizes :) I am sure they will be so happy I did this when they are older

Gavin's 4 1/2 Month Stats

We are constantly reminded of God's faithfulness when we look at Gavin. He has been strong and healthy since coming home 2 1/2 months ago!!
He is a BIG BOY!! Gavin is 27 inches long (94%) and 18lbs 10oz (93%).
He has also cut two teeth on his bottom gum. Our newest goals are solid food and falling asleep indepedently :) We have set up his crib in Grant's room, Grant is excited to have Gavin in his room.

A Stomp in the Swamp

Ben's parents came for a wonderful visit this past week! Grant was in heaven and as their car pulled away this morning he looked at me and said, "It just won't be the same mommy." One of our greatest challenges living in Florida is the distance from family. We miss them all so much!!!! One evening during their visit we went down to Florida's stadium and had fun walking around and exploring. Here are a few pictures.
