BlueBonnets and a Rose Garden

We took our annual bluebonnet pictures on the grounds of the George Bush Library this year. We had taken about 3 family photos when we decided to take some of the boys. I chose a spot and forgot to check for ants...poor Grant sat on top of a big mound. Thankfully we got his clothing off quickly and he only had 3 bites on his foot. What a way to start but we took about 10 minutes checking and rechecking his clothes and he bravely went on. I am so thankful because these turned out great! We also took some in the small garden located behind the museum.

San Diego

Ben and I enjoyed a trip to San Diego this Winter. Grandma and Grandpa Wherley watched the boys while we were away. My favorite part of the trip was exploring the coast and tide pools looking for natural treasures. I had hoped to find a sea star but they were no where to be found on our adventures. One of the tide pool locations was located on a Navy base. High above the shore thousands of white tombs faced the sea. It was beautiful and very sad at the same time. We enjoyed delicious food and unbelievable scenery. We will celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary this year and called this our early anniversary present... the blurry picture was at our "anniversary dinner".

Basketball

Grant had fun playing basketball this winter. He really has grown a lot as a player from last year! He was a great defensive player and even scored two baskets this season. He enjoyed playing with his good friend Hudson.

Christmas 2012

We surprised the boys with a visit to Santa's Wonderland this year, they loved it! We also enjoyed a wonderful visit with Grandma and Grandpa McCluggage and Aunt Rosie and Uncle David. We made a lot of cookies and had a lot of fun but forgot to take a lot of pictures. Here are the few we remembered to take as well as some pictures from our trip to the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory.
